"The sun is going to rise shortly but the stars still shine; the dark earth seems to reflect the sky and the small flowers are made with the same material used for the stars. The intimate meaning of my work: The last morning stars is the oneness between the humblest of things and what is immensely big. The tree itself is the very ancient symbol of the union between the earth, where is deeply rooted and the sky, towards which its stretches its branches.
The dark walnut I used for the sky comes from an old 16th century chest. In the worm eaten holes I inserted some yellow boxwood: the stars. It is wonderful to think that a tree, born probably more then one thousand years ago, is still living and tells us its story. But what then really lives?
Everything is interacting with everything else there is only this great reality everything is life."
